Award-winning superstar singer and philanthropist, David Adeleke, better known as Davido, has retracted his support from a physically challenged pure water seller who gained widespread attention a few days ago.
As reported by KFN, comedian Brain Jotter had appealed for assistance from well-meaning Nigerians for a physically challenged lady he encountered while hawking, who harbored dreams and ambitions. The lady shared with him that she is involved in makeup artistry and is seeking funds to acquire the necessary equipment to kickstart her business. Touched by her poignant story, the comedian generously gifted the lady, a native of Osun State, N400,000.
To his surprise, days later, the lady was exposed for deceiving the public with a feminine identity, when in fact, she is a male.
Davido, who had picked interest in her and had called on his uncle, Governor Ademola Adeleke, the governor of Osun State to come to her aide, has made a uturn.
Taking to his Twitter page, he stated that they had been scammed and should withdraw support from him.
“Excellency Dem job us!! Dem say nah man ABORT MISSION”.
His tweet didn’t sit well with many as they noted how favoritism with the opposite gendër is the reason why the hawker pretended to be a female.

Davido has over the years become well-known for his generosity towards humanity.
Early this year, Davido had bragged about spending over two hundred million naira on orphanages across Nigeria, as he noted how he uses his platform to serve others.
The singer noted that his foundation, David Adeleke Foundation, had disbursed two hundred and thirty-seven million naira (237, 000,000) to benefit the less privileged.
Last year, Davido had given out a scholarship to a Ghanaian college dropout, who scored A parallel in his WAEC.
The young lad identified as Young Morro Suleyman had made A1 in all his West African Examinations Council (WAEC) exam subjects but unfortunately, he couldn’t proceed to University as he had been at home since 2021.
Reacting to the news, Davido launched a search for him, and when he found him, he gifted him a full 4/5 scholarship to Adeleke University, with accommodation and allowance.
In more recent news, the father of twins had offered financial assistance to a Tiktoker who entertained him.
The Tiktoker had delighted her viewers with a video of her eating her version of ‘Fried rice and chicken’, as she lamented over the shortage of cash.
Davido, who saw the video, was entertained and blessed the lady N2 million.
