Super Eagles coach, Peseiro reveals interest from Algeria FA

The head coach of the Super Eagles, Jose Peseiro, has revealed that he has been contacted by the Algeria Football Federation to take over their national team.

Peseiro is currently out of contract, following the expiration of his contract with the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF).

The Portuguese led Nigeria to a second-place finish at the just-concluded 2023 Africa Cup of Nations.

Algeria are in the hunt for a new coach following the sacking of Djamel Belmadi last month.

The Desert Foxes failed to progress beyond the group stage in Cote d’Ivoire.

The North Africans are yet to win a game at the AFCON finals since winning the competition in 2019.

“I received a lot of offers after the African Cup final,” Peseiro told El Hayat TV Channel.

”I received an offer from the FAF but I will first rest and my agent will take care of it.”
