Iyabo Ojo made a post, calling out an alleged representative of the Nigerian police for giving a sarcastic response about a kidnapping issue. In her post, she wrote that his statement just broke her heart, and expressed her surprise over the Nigerian Police making such a statement.
Now it is not certain that the alleged police officer is an official representative of the police force, but his response drew the attention of Enioluwa Adeoluwa and comedian Mr Macaroni, as can be seen in Iyabo Ojo’s post. They both expressed their disappointment and distress over the alleged police officer’s response.
The Nigerian Police force has not made any statement rebutting the manner in which one of the alleged members handled the issue on social media. While it is not certain whether the person who made that post is an actual Police officer, a statement from the Nigerian Police would be needed in this situation.
Iyabo Ojo is very outspoken about issues like this, and there’s a track record to prove this fact. When the Mohbad issue came up, Iyabo Ojo was one of the people pioneering the investigation into his death. She also teamed up with Tonto Dikeh at the time, in order to delve further into the matter.
There has never been a time when Iyabo Ojo has backed down from offering her opinion on public matters. She is very outspoken, and this has earned her some level of respect that is not associated with the fact that she’s a Nollywood actress. One thing that is certain about Iyabo Ojo is the fact that she fights for what she believes in, regardless of the fact that she gets support or none at all. Her resilience for fighting for social justice is admirable, and her determination needs to be studied and applauded.
