Afrobeat artist Davido recently took to the X-Platform to boast about his financial status.
The singer’s statement, which many believe might be directed at his wife, Chioma, emphasized his substantial wealth. He posted, “The money wey I get u no fit chop am finishhhhhhh,” implying that his wealth is so extensive that it cannot be exhausted by a single person.
This comes on the heels of recent reports that Davido is set to headline the BET Awards alongside artists like Cardi B, Sexy Red, and Gunna. In an official statement released by the BET Awards, it was highlighted that Davido would be one of the main acts at the awards show.
Earlier this year, Davido received international recognition from the Grammys, though he did not win any of his nominations. Additionally, just a few months ago, he cleared up rumors about his supposed arrest, taking to his Instagram story to refute the claims and stressing that he has never been arrested in Nigeria or anywhere else in the world. He found the fabrication of such allegations irresponsible, especially since they were made on April Fool’s Day.
