‘Signing with the Biggest Label/Artist in the World Doesn’t Guarantee Success’ – Spyro Advises Upcoming Artistes
Spyro has shared a message for upcoming artists.
In a post on his Instagram page, he emphasized that signing with the biggest label or artist in the world doesn’t guarantee success. He explained that labels and big names only enhance what an artist already possesses.
He pointed out that if an artist has a failure mentality and expects everything to be done for them, the label will only amplify their failure. Conversely, hard work and diligence can turn even a talentless person into a success.
The “Who Is Your Guy” singer urged upcoming artists to stop relying on labels or others to build their careers and instead focus on investing in themselves.
“Dear Upcoming Artist,
I write this from the depth of my heart. Signing with the biggest label or artist in the world doesn’t guarantee your success. Labels and big names will only amplify what you already carry.
If you have a failure mentality and expect everything to be done for you, the label will only help you fail on a larger scale. Conversely, your talent without diligence and hard work will fail you. In fact, these days, a talentless person with focus, diligence, and hard work can succeed.
Stop building castles in the air waiting for labels or people to help you, and start investing in yourself.
In my case, labels failed me, so I built my own from scratch. If I can do it, you can too. While I was signed to my last label, I had to take loans from people and the bank to fund my projects.
Yes, I talk about how God changed my life, but what I didn’t mention is that He used me to change my own life. Everything you see today is the result of years of hard work and planning. Even now, everything from my releases, A&R, PR, styling, you name it, is spearheaded by me over sleepless nights.
My guy, wake up. Nothing will change until you start taking responsibility for yourself and your life.
Tag anyone who needs to see this.”
