Guardiola reacts as Sterling, Palmer score against Man City in 4-4 draw

Manchester City manager, Pep Guardiola has reacted his former players Raheem Sterling and Cole Palmer scoring against them.

The Premier League champions were held to a 4-4 draw on Sunday, with both Sterling and Palmer finding the back of the net.

Sterling left the Etihad in the summer of 2022, while Palmer only arrived at Stamford Bridge this summer.

“They are really good players! That’s why they help us a lot to win what we won. They are a part of our success.

“But in the end they want more and they decide to come here,” Guardiola told Sky Sports.

On Chelsea’s performance, he added: “If people expect, with what we have done, we come here to win 0-7 that’s not going to happen.

“They try to rebuild from new era for Chelsea, the players they have, and they have a top quality team. So we compete and still have the desire and are hungry. We have no complaints.”
