Netizens Unearth Video of Bobrisky Making Money Rain at an Event Following His Arrest

Following his arrest by the Economic and Financial Crime Commission, EFCC, netizens have dug up video of Bobrisky raining money at an event.

Early this morning, news broke out that the famous crossdresser had been arrested by EFCC. According to the report, he was arrested at Pinnock Estate, in Lagos State on April 3, 2024, at 3 pm.

Confirming his arrest, a spokesperson for the commission identified as Dele Oyewale exclusively revealed to Linda Ikeji Blog, the cause of his arrest. He claimed that the crossdresser was arrested for currency mutilation and abuse of the Naira. He disclosed that the internet sensation is in their facility in Lagos and would be charged in court soon.

The commission has now released his mugshot, with a post shedding more light on his arrest. In a statement on its official Instagram page, EFCC revealed that the commission arrested Bobrisky after a video of him spraying and flaunting wads of new Naira notes at the premiere of Eniola Ajao’s movie, Ajanaku surfaced online.

Investigation into it further revealed that he had also committed the alleged offense at some other recent centers and parties at different times.

Following the arrest, netizens dug up a video of him spraying money at Eniola Ajao’s movie premiere, with many defending him as they noted how it was the usual tradition at Nigerian parties to spray money at an event. Some claimed that EFCC just wanted to use him as a scapegoat to others.

His arrest is coming just two days after a police spokesperson, Olumuyiwa Adejobi revealed why Bobrisky, James Brown, and others can’t be arrested. He stated that it is a very tricky situation, as he expressed how cross-dressing is not yet a punishable offense in Nigeria, but being queer is.

He made it known that even if there might be rumors of people who cross-dress also being a part of the LGBTQ community because there is no specific evidence to back that up, they cannot take them to court and if eventually taken to court, one will lose.
