In a recent interview, Seun Kuti admitted to being an amorous person and expressed his disbelief in monogamy. When the interviewer, clearly perplexed, asked about his currently monogamous relationship with his wife, Seun’s response was surprising.
Seun revealed that despite his monogamous marriage, he still explores other ‘options’ outside his marital home. He justified his actions by citing political reasons, explaining that his wife is unable to connect with him on a political level, and he doesn’t want to impose his political beliefs on her.
He added that his wife is free to do whatever she wants and doesn’t do anything solely for his sake unless she genuinely desires to. Seun also disclosed that they have explored threesomes, an admission that is rarely discussed publicly.
While Seun Kuti’s views may be unsettling for conservatives, this is one of his less provocative statements. He has previously made more controversial remarks, including views on Christianity that some might consider blasphemous. He once compared Jesus Christ to a traditional sacrifice, equating Christianity with traditional worship.
