Social media users are buzzing with reactions to the news of music star Davido and his wife, Chioma, planning their traditional wedding.
According to blogger Stella Dimoko Korkus, the couple is set to marry traditionally in two weeks, on June 25th, at Eko Hotel in Lagos. The blog mentioned that both families are excited about the event, which is expected to strengthen family ties.
This announcement has sparked a mix of excitement and curiosity among fans. Some are questioning why the traditional wedding is being held in Lagos instead of Chioma’s hometown.

In November 2022, Davido secretly married Chioma after their son’s death. The traditional wedding, held at his father’s house, had only a few family friends in attendance and no cameras were allowed. Chioma’s bride price was paid in full.
In January 2023, Davido fully paid Chioma’s bride price (Umunna) in Ezeala Odu, Imo state. Photos and videos online showed Chioma’s dad performing the Umunna rites.
In a March interview, Davido confirmed his marriage, proudly showing off his wedding ring and stating that he got married during his break.
