Erling Haaland wins Premier League Golden Boot for second year running

Manchester City striker, Erling Haaland, has clinched the Premier League Golden Boot for the second successive season.

Haaland scored 27 goals as Pep Guardiola’s men won the title for a fourth successive year.

While Haaland has been unable to replicate his goalscoring feats from the previous season that saw him net 36 times in the league, his 27 goals this season saw him comfortably beat Cole Palmer (22) in the Golden Boot race.

The Norway international has draw criticism for some of his performances this season, most notably by former Manchester United captain Roy Keane who called him a “League Two player” following City’s goalless draw against Arsenal in April.

In response to Keane’s comments, City boss Pep Guardiola hailed Haaland as the “best striker in the world.”
