Nollywood actress, filmmaker, and box office Queen, Funke Akindele has reacted to the explosion in Ibadan.
Taking to her Instagram page, the mother of two revealed that the videos she had seen of the incident were beyond words as she sent her condolences to victims of the explosion.
She prayed for God to give them the fortitude to bear the unimaginable loss and added that her thoughts and prayers are with them during the difficult time and she hopes they find the strength and healing they need.

What I have seen since last night is beyond words, and I pray that God gives everyone affected the fortitude to bear this unimaginable loss. On Tuesday night, we reported that there was an explosion in the Bodija area of Ibadan, Oyo State which left residents in panic.
According to reports, properties were destroyed as a result of the explosion, and the UCH School of Nursing hostel glass windows were shattered during the quake.
The Governor of Oyo state, Seyi Makinde, had claimed that preliminary investigations by security agencies revealed that the explosion was caused by explosive devices stored by illegal miners.
Speaking on the incident, actress, Aisha Lawal revealed that she was in Bodija when the explosion happened and her ears are still hurting from the effect.
Appreciating God for her life, Aisha narrated her experience, disclosing that she had parked her car to buy suya opposite an estate, but later moved it to the location where the incident happened.
The movie star said she saw many dead bodies as she questioned what caused the unfortunate incident.
Big Brother Naija ‘Level Up’ housemate, Groovy Mono had also shared his experience.
Groovy, who was in Ibadan for undisclosed reasons, revealed that he heard the explosion from his hotel room. Pleading to his Maker, he stated that the pictures and clips he had seen from the explosion were scary.
Checking up on others, he questioned if they were all safe.
Muyiwa Ademola who resides in Ibadan had sent a public message to his fans, lovers, and colleagues, assuring them that he was okay.
Appreciating the public for their love, he noted how many were left terrified over him as he prayed for the souls of the departed and those who were injured.
He had even visited the scene of the accident, and he revealed that the feeling is totally different at the actual place than what is been shown on TV. Describing it as a devastating one, he sent condolence messages to the victims and appreciated the team of officials at the site.
