Galatasaray striker, Victor Osimhen has now scored more goals in the UEFA Champions League than his boyhood hero, Didier Drogba, DAILY POST reports.
Osimhen helped Galatasaray secure a place in the Round of 16 of the competition at the expense of Juventus on Wednesday night.
The powerful striker scored Galatasaray’s first goal in the 3-2 defeat at the Juventus Stadium.
The Turkish Super Lig champions however prevailed 7-5 on aggregate.
Osimhen’s goal was his 16th in the Champions League , one more than Drogba (15th), putting him in second position in the all-time Africa’s scoring chart.
Guinea international, Serhou Guirassy, who plays for Borussia Dortmund remains Africa’s most prolific player in the competition with 18 goals.
