Chelsea, on Monday, announced the signing of Yisa Alao from Sheffield Wednesday.
The Blues disclosed this in a post on their website ahead of their UEFA Champions League clash with Napoli on Wednesday.
Alao, who plays as a left-back, agreed a contract with Chelsea until 2028.
The 17-year-old came through Sheffield Wednesday’s academy and made his senior debut for the Owls last August.
Alao has since played four more games, starting Wednesday’s recent FA Cup fixture against Brentford and Championship tie against Portsmouth.
“Welcome to Chelsea, Yisa,” Chelsea’s statement partly read.
