Let Love Lead Lagos: A Cultural Movement Championing Unity, Love, and Shared Humanity

At a time when conversations around identity, division, and social cohesion are increasingly shaping public discourse, Let Love Lead Lagos emerges as a timely cultural movement — one that calls for unity, empathy, and collective belonging in Africa’s most diverse city.

Scheduled to take place on February 14, 2026, at the iconic Tafawa Balewa Square, Lagos Island, Let Love Lead Lagos is a free, non-profit cultural mega event designed to bring Lagosians together through music, art, and shared cultural experiences.

The initiative is powered by EventPark Africa in collaboration with Bammby, with support from the Lagos State Government, and proudly backed by sponsors including Betway, MTN, UAC, and Mavin.

A City of Many Stories, One Heartbeat

Lagos has always been a melting pot of cultures, languages, and backgrounds — a city where difference fuels creativity and progress. Let Love Lead Lagos seeks to reinforce this shared identity by creating a space where people come together beyond tribe, background, or belief.

Speaking on the vision behind the event, Faruq Musodiq, Co-Founder, explained:

“Let Love Lead Lagos was born out of the need to remind ourselves that Lagos thrives because of its diversity. This is not just an event; it’s a movement that uses culture to reconnect us to our shared humanity.”

What to Expect:

1. Attendees can expect a rich and immersive cultural experience featuring:

2. Live musical performances from notable artists across different genres

3. Dance and cultural performances

4. Art installations and creative showcases

5. Vendor exhibitions

6. Virtual and digital experience centres

7. Community-driven activations and interactive zones

The event is designed as an open and inclusive celebration, welcoming young and old, creatives, families, professionals, and visitors alike.

A Platform for Culture, Community, and Conversation

According to Femi Jegede, Project Lead, the event goes beyond entertainment:

“Let Love Lead Lagos is about creating a safe, joyful space where people can experience culture, music, and art while reconnecting with the values that make Lagos what it is — tolerance, collaboration, and resilience.”

With support from brands such as Betway, MTN, UAC, and Mavin, the event aims to amplify positive narratives and foster meaningful connections across communities.

More Than a Moment

Beyond performances and exhibitions, Let Love Lead Lagos stands as a reminder that unity is a conscious choice. In a city defined by motion and ambition, the event offers a moment to pause, connect, and celebrate the power of love as a unifying force.

As Valentine’s Day approaches, Let Love Lead Lagos invites everyone to be part of a movement that chooses love over division, and togetherness over difference.
