I’m not surprised – Rio Ferdinand reacts to Amorim’s sack
Manchester United legend, Rio Ferdinand, has reacted to Ruben Amorim’s sack as the club’s manager.
Man United had earlier on Monday announced the sacking of Amorim as the Red Devils’ manager.
The Premier League club name ex-player Darren Fletcher as caretaker manager, replacing the Portuguese.
Reacting, Ferdinand said on Rio the Ferdinand Presents, “When you look at Amorim’s record in black and white, I’m not surprised, and it sounds weird when I say that,” Ferdinand said.
“His record is worst than any manager Manchester United have had post-Alex Ferguson. I saw his last two press conferences, and I felt something wasn’t right here; it looks depressing.”
Amorim recorded 23 defeats, 25 victories and 15 draws from 63 matches at United.
