Bode George: Davido, Father, Gov. Adeleke Paying Osun Workers from Personal Funds Amid FG Salary Debt

Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) chieftain, Chief Bode George, has alleged that Afrobeat star Davido, his father Dr. Adedeji Adeleke, and Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke have been using their personal funds to pay the salaries of civil servants in the state.

According to George, the federal government still owes Osun State six months’ worth of salaries, leaving workers stranded and dependent on the intervention of the Adeleke family.

He made this claim while addressing party stakeholders, noting that the situation was unsustainable and calling on the federal government to urgently fulfill its obligations to the state.

“Davido, his father, and Governor Adeleke have been paying civil servants in Osun State from their own pockets. The federal government still owes the state six months’ salary,” George said.

He warned that the continued delay in disbursing federal allocations could cripple the state’s economy and demoralize its workforce.

George further urged the FG to prioritize the welfare of workers, stressing that no state should be left to rely on the goodwill of private citizens or family members of political leaders to meet its obligations.

The alleged intervention by the Adeleke family, if confirmed, underscores the deepening financial strain in Osun and raises questions about the federal government’s management of resources amid growing economic hardship in the country.
