Nollywood actress Lizzy Gold has broken her silence on her long-standing rift with fellow actress Destiny Etiko, revealing that their fallout was fueled by industry gossip.
In an Instagram post sighted by DAILY POST, Gold shared that she and Etiko stopped speaking for two years after false narratives spread by rumor mongers created a wedge between them.
Despite the feud, Lizzy Gold praised Etiko’s warm and sociable personality, noting that she is the only person in Nollywood who truly understands her.
Addressing those who instigated their separation, Gold stated that she has become immune to negativity and urged Etiko never to allow outsiders to come between them again.
“Two years ago, we separated as friends because of ‘them say’ in Nollywood. I became lonely because I don’t make friends easily like you do. Thank God you realized you were deceived and came back,” she wrote.
