EPL: ‘Good sign, we won’t win every game’ – Guardiola makes fresh title claim
Manchester City boss, Pep Guardiola has made a fresh Premier League title claim after his side’s 2-1 win against Newcastle United on Saturday.
Guardiola insisted that it was a good sign and that Manchester City will not win every game going forward in the Premier League amid the title race with Arsenal.
The Spaniard watched as two goals from Nico O’Reilly gave City the victory against Newcastle.
Speaking at his post-match interview after the game, Guardiola said: “Today it looks like, I don’t know what happens tomorrow, of course, now we take two more points off Aston Villa, and Chelsea in qualification for the UEFA Champions League.
“Today we are closer for the top of the Premier League table, that is an incredibly good sign.
“But I promise you, many things are going to happen. I have the feeling we are not going to win all the games. I don’t know about Arsenal, but I have the feeling we are not going to win every game.”
Man City are two points behind Arsenal in the Premier League standings after 27 matches at the moment, ahead of the Gunners’ derby against Tottenham on Sunday evening.
