Tiwa Savage Reveals She Froze Her Eggs in Case She Wants More Kids in the Future

The award-winning singer and mother of one revealed she took the step as a precaution in case she decides to have more children in the future.
In a candid chat with Zeze Mills, the 42-year-old admitted she wished she had done it earlier, urging women in their 30s to consider egg freezing as a way to take control of their fertility.
“Having my first child in my 30s was beautiful because I was more financially and emotionally stable,” Savage said. “One advice I’ll give to women in their 30s is – whether you want kids or not, freeze your eggs.
“I wish I did it earlier, but I’ve done it now. I don’t know if I want more kids, but just in case, I’ve got that insurance. You never know when your egg reserve might run out – it could happen at 36 – and that’s when you suddenly decide you want children. So, I’m now a big advocate for egg freezing.”
Tiwa Savage welcomed her first child, Jamil, at age 34 with her then-husband, Teebillz, on July 22, 2015.
