Diddy’s Lawyer Seeks Presidential Pardon Ahead of Sentencing

Nicole Westmoreland, an attorney representing music mogul Sean “Diddy” Combs, has confirmed that efforts are underway to secure a presidential pardon from former President Donald Trump.

Combs, 55, is scheduled to be sentenced on October 3, following a recent conviction by a New York jury on two counts of transportation to engage in prostitution. Each charge carries a maximum penalty of 10 years in prison.

“It’s my understanding that we’ve reached out and had conversations in reference to a pardon,” Westmoreland told CNN.

While discussions have reportedly taken place, Trump appears unlikely to intervene. Speaking to Newsmax on Friday, the former president acknowledged a friendly relationship with Combs but downplayed the likelihood of granting a pardon.

Asked directly whether that friendship could influence a pardon decision, Trump responded, “I would say so, yeah.”

As the sentencing date approaches, it remains unclear whether any formal request for clemency will be approved or even seriously considered.
