“My Catalogue Couldn’t Make $5K In 9 Years? That Alone Proves Jude Okoye Is A Bad Label Exec” – Cynthia Morgan Claps Back At Critic

Just when the Okoye family wahala seemed to be all about Peter, Paul and Jude, dancehall queen Cynthia Morgan has been pulled back into the ring this time by a critic trying to use her old royalty numbers against her, only for her to flip the entire jab right back at her former label boss.

What Sparked This?

This one didn’t start with Cynthia she was reacting. An X user brought up the now-familiar claim that Cynthia Morgan’s entire music catalogue couldn’t generate $5,000 in nine years, using the figure to mock her career and imply she has no real grounds to keep dragging Jude Okoye. That $5K figure itself traces back to an earlier public dispute, where activist Verydarkman claimed Jude had shown him financial records putting Cynthia’s total royalties since her breakout year at just $3,860 a number Jude’s camp used to counter her allegations of being cheated.

Cynthia wasn’t about to let the jab slide quietly. Replying directly to the tweet, she pointed out that $5,000 is essentially her lowest single-year payout from YouTube alone these days, arguing that if she weren’t putting in real work, people would be quick to say an artist “no make” in nine years yet somehow they still find their way to her DMs. Pushing the point further, she flipped the entire narrative on its head, asking whether the fact that her catalogue generated so little over nearly a decade doesn’t itself prove that Jude Okoye was a bad label executive and manager in the first place.

It’s classic Cynthia Morgan direct, unbothered, and turning a jab meant to embarrass her into ammunition against the very man she blames for the numbers in the first place.
