Turnout figures showed just over one million total votes cast across the state’s 3,763 polling units, with more than two million registered voters and 81.5% having collected their Permanent Voter Cards ahead of the election.
A Second Term, A New Party
This victory marks Adeleke’s second consecutive term as Osun State governor, having first won the seat in 2022 running under the Peoples Democratic Party, when he defeated then-incumbent Gboyega Oyetola by a narrower margin of roughly 28,000 votes. Since then, Adeleke defected to the Accord Party, and this latest win marks the very first governorship victory the Accord Party has ever recorded in Osun State.
